The LPIC Program

The Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) program is designed to certify the competency of IT professionals using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions.

Some of the courses in the LCO programme are directly compatible with component material required for LPI certification.

LPI exams are designed to be taken in almost every country in the world, in a manner that fits your schedule.

Regardless of how or where you plan to take your LPI exams, you must register online to receive an LPI identification number first. Failure to complete this step may effect your eligibility for your desired time slot. Also you must provide your LPI ID to the test centers when registering for an exam. Registration is free of charge and can be completed at the LPI web site.
